I have split Accomplishments into those related to IT/MIS and those otherwise. Numerous Non-IT items are none the less business related, just not (IT) Information Technology.   Non IT (Information Technology), Accomplishments: • Mentored by family friend, then self-learned, then analyzed the real estate market in Toronto and very successfully bought, renovated, sold and principally managed a series of properties. Result: Real estate activities represented a 100% increase in my annual income. Also every house sale making a profit, 1985-1999. • Self-Learned, analyzed and set-up a ranching operation for a family business, in Ottawa. Ostriches, Lamas and goats were bred, and sold for profit. The self-garnered skill set was huge, a farmer. Result: Realized over $20,000 in revenue from high-risk venture. • An Active Member of the CSPS (Canadian Ski Patrol System) CPR, advanced 1st aid, triage Result: Handling tricky situations is all part of the job. Great people skills are required when the others are sometimes at their worst. • Studied Martial Arts from 1991 to 1997 In Toronto. The style was one of the traditional "All Japanese Federation" styles, under Sensei Dave Mannara in Toronto. Spent the last 1.5 years, also teaching in a New Market club, as the Black belt instructor (second). Formal Training, again (2006-2008) in Ottawa, switched styles, and added weapons training. Result: 1. 1st Dan Black belt, teaching both adults and children “the way”. Left a special and lasting impression on my students. 2. Sensei Mannara asked me to teach a new student who was 100% wheel chair bound. An article appeared in Toronto Sun, the honor of being the “chosen” one for this difficult and different task was great. • Graduated the Dale Carnegie course on Effective Speaking and Human Relations. Then became a Graduate Assistent. Result: helped instruct others in achieving their personal goals, and left a special and lasting impression on my students. I was the only instructor to receive a card from his students, which stands in my office to this day. • Under extremely adverse conditions including but not limited to special needs raising two "good" kids Result: Extreme patience tolerence, balanced nature, perseverence under duress. • Self taught and then executed a very advanced House reno, new kitchen and bath. Full featured with every trade skill required. Result: the confidence and experience to meet whatever requirements for skill a client may need. Physical or mental.
